This cartoon is sheer fucking genius. “He looks miserable” is, given its context, probably the funniest thing you’ve ever written/performed, aside from the entire “Norse in the 9th ward” cartoon being an advert for a waffle house.
I don’t know how much of it is heavily forethought, but it’s a corker nonetheless.
